Lust starts in the heart, but if left unchecked, it can lead to sinful actions with devastating consequences. King David’s story is a sobering example. His lust for Bathsheba (2 Samuel 11) led to adultery, deception, and even murder. What started as a moment of desire ended in pain and loss.

The Bible doesn’t say to fight temptation—it says to flee from it. 1 Corinthians 6:18 (NIV) warns, “Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually sins against their own body.”
